PropPlayer turns an iPhone or iPad into the character's phone. Build the scene on the device, cue and monitor it from the standalone Mac Remote, and reset it for the next take. A connected Bluetooth keyboard can also cue the scene.

  1. 01

    Build it on the phone.

    Add the character, pick a Quick Start like an incoming call or a text, and the beats are written for you.

  2. 02

    Cue it from the Mac.

    On the prop phone, open Connection Info and turn on Allow Remote Control. In the free Mac Remote, connect to the phone on the same local network. GO fires the next beat. Choose Start Live Monitor for a picture.

  3. 03

    Reset for take two.

    One control puts the phone back at the top of the scene. Nothing to re-type, nothing to re-arm.

PropPlayer in action.

Preview the standalone Mac Remote workflow: author the character's scene and phone directly on the device, then connect on the same local network with Remote control enabled on the phone, cue the next moment, and reset the scene from Mac. Start Live Monitor when the operator needs a picture of the phone's screen. Dim, White Balance, Contrast, and Saturation stay in the operator's hands without changing the device's hardware brightness.
